Discover the Kinds of People Who Benefit From the“Joondalup Martial Arts” Difference And The One Group of People Who Definitely Don’t!
“I Can’t Believe The Difference… I am Fit and Confident”
1. Young Parents Who Want the Best for Their Child
Why? Because the world has changed a lot since you were growing up!
Every parent wants what is best for their children… it is only natural. But as they start to grow up and begin to express themselves, you realise… it may not turn out the way you want!
From the moment they start to say “No”, you know you are in for a bumpy ride.
You just want your kids to be well adjusted and to be happy. As you send them off to school… your fears increase, will they be bullied or be the bully. So much seems to be out of your control.
Parents are often stuck in the middle of the “Damned if I do, damned if I don’t” scenario. Sometimes it takes someone outside of the family dynamic to reinforce what you are doing.
Martial Arts are not just about fighting!
Children learn respect for adults and each other, confidence, stranger danger as well as increasing their physical fitness. They are a part of a community and given responsibilities which nurtures them into responsible, respectful teens.
At Joondalup Martial Arts, like you, we only want what is best for your child.
2. Young Children Who Want to be the Next Ku Fu Panda…
Ninja Warrior… Superhero!
Why? Because they are running around doing the “moves” anyway!
Kids are impressionable! Which is a good and a bad thing!
It is great they have enthusiasm for a physical activity. How many children do you see these days who just want to play on the computer or game consoles? Too many!
Martial arts are a stable influence in children’s lives and encourages achievement… when they are ready. The only person they really compete with is themselves but they have the opportunity to train with a group so have the added benefit of a team of like minded kids around them.
They learn very quickly how to rely upon themselves and stand up for themselves.
Did you know Lauren Burns, Australian Gold Medallist Sydney Olympics 2000 in Taekwondo, only started the sport at the age of 14? Her brother was heavily influenced by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he started to learn, then her father started and then eventually she decided to see what all the fuss was about. Her success shows that with the right training and determination, anything is possible.
Will your child grow up to be a Kung Fu Panda, A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle or even an Olympic medallist?
Joondalup Martial Arts has programs for everyone so they can be a “Legend of Awesomeness”
3. Mum’s Who Finally Have Some “Me” Time
Why? Because you have spent so long looking after everyone else… now it’s time for you!
We know you have been busy taking care of your children and family for years. When you look at yourself in the mirror, you think you see how the years have taken their toll. You don’t feel as great about yourself as you once did… and that’s a shame because you are actually amazing!
Mothers are often the backbone of the family… without you everything falls apart. But you are so often busy with everyone else… you feel guilty about having some you time.
It doesn’t have to be this way! Perhaps it won’t even be as hard as you think!
With programs to suit everyone, Joondalup Martial Arts is a great place to come to let go of some steam punching some targets, talking to adults and maybe focus on getting rid of your “love handles”, say goodbye to those “Tuck Shop Arms” and finally get your sexy back!
Imagine what the other Mums will say when they see you transform before their eyes…Because you deserve to feel great about yourself!
4. Everyday People Seeking Inspiration and Adventure
Why? Because life is boring and predictable!
You know how it is… you go to work, you come home, you sleep… then you wake up and do it all again!
How long has it been since you truly challenged yourself? You know how precious life is, yet you feel like you are stuck in a rut.
Imagine if there was a way which challenged you and pushed you beyond what you thought was possible. A way which motivates you, improves your fitness and gives you a sense of accomplishment!
Well, there is no need to imagine because there is a simple way to have it all… At Joondalup Martial Arts we specialise in putting the spark and meaning back into your life.
5. Parents Who Worry About Their Teenagers Future
Why? Because try as you might… teenagers can be influenced by the wrong things!
Teenagers need a strong, positive role model… someone they can look up to and respect. As much as you want to be that person, unfortunately it doesn’t always end up being that way.
The problem is you don’t want your child being influenced by just anyone. Negative influences are everywhere! Gangs, groups and peers all influence your child. Then there is alcohol, drugs and criminal behaviour to contend with. One small mistake, one small misunderstanding can have disastrous consequences for your teens future.
Teenagers want to fit in and have something to believe in… even when they can’t believe in themselves.
Martial Arts is not all about fighting… it is a lifestyle, a feeling of belonging and achievement. At Joondalup Martial Arts we have a great community where everyone is included in the group and nurtured to achieve their best.
We never want to take your place as your teens role model… we will support you and back you up.
We are committed to being the best role models we can be to our members. We truly practice what we preach.
6. Young Men Who Want to Know How to Fight
Why? Because “one punch can kill” and you never know when you need to defend yourself.
Most people will say that fighting is not the answer to anything. For the most part they are correct.
Unfortunately, it is the unsuspecting, unprepared victims who comes off second best.
When one punch can kill… you need to know how to defend yourself.
Martial arts is about being prepared and trained to automatically respond to a threat. To use the force of the attacker in a way which unarms them and keeps you safe at the same time.
It is when people are totally unprepared and untrained that disaster happens. Not knowing how to “take” a hit or “taking” the hit the wrong way can be fatal.
You are never too old to learn to defend yourself. Something amazing happens when a person knows how to look after themselves… they are more self-confident, have more self-respect and have
At Joondalup Martial Arts we have great programs and a great environment for you to practice and master your routines.
Imagine how different you will feel having the peace of mind knowing you can defend yourself at any time… without having to think about it!
7. Fly In Fly Out Dad’s
Why? Because you want to be there for the kids but you need to go where the work is.
It is a hard life there is no doubt about it! You want to enjoy family life more but by the time you get back into the swing of things at home… you are off again.
While you are away you are too busy working to really look after yourself properly. Perhaps you have put on a few kilos, maybe you have a bit of a “gut” on you. Your life just doesn’t seem as though it is yours anymore.
With no way to release your anger or disappointments, you hold everything in and it is slowly taking its toll on you.
Joondalup Martial Arts is a great place to come and release your built up frustrations and anger. We have a number of different programs to help you get your life back on track. When the kids do the programs as well, you have more in common with them and something for you all to look forward to when you are home again. It will reduce the “lag” time it normally takes for you to readjust to being home again.
Oh, and happy kids is not the only positive side effect to come out of this… your wife will be a happy woman too!
We have great family packages to suit every budget, playing happy families has never been easier!
8. Fitness Industry Experts Who Are Looking For An Edge!
Why? Because you know you need to stay ahead of the crowd.
Every trainer who takes their career seriously needs to have a mentor to help them to the next level. Who trains the trainers?
You have spent a fortune for your qualifications and you need to stay current to keep your edge. The fitness industry is fickle and harsh.
Training and achieving is a big part of your make up. With trainers like Tiffany Hall, from the biggest loser in the spot light, many people want a trainer with a background in Martial Arts.
Another opportunity we have available to the right trainers is our Box and Burn program. You can become a qualified Box and Burn trainer which gives you an edge against your competitors.
When everyone offers the same programs… people have no incentive to train with you. When you have a class that no one else offers and gives the results everyone wants, you have a winning combination.
Train with the best, be trained by the best and become your best at Joondalup Martial Arts.
And lastly who we are totally wrong for…
The Person Who Wants to Make Everything Hard For Themselves and Then Blame Everyone Else
Why? Because we know being open to new ideas will give you better options… but when you have a closed mind, you make everything hard for yourself and those around you.
Too many people are looking for all the reasons why Joondalup Martial Arts won’t work in their situation… “I don’t have the time”, “My children are too young”, “It costs too much”, “It’s too hard”, “My child is a special case”… and the list goes on.
If that is your way of thinking we have no time or desire to waste our resources in you telling us we are wrong. We want to deal with people who are able to make a decision, see the possibilities of what we can offer them and be open to our suggestions on how to make it happen for them.
We just want to help people who are ready to move forward and discover a great way to improve their lives through exercise and self-discipline.
If you are on the list of people who benefit from the Joondalup Martial Arts difference book in for a FREE Trial Class… to book call 0408-018-723 or email us at email@example.com, but you need to be quick. We only have a few FREE Trial Classes available each week and they fill up fast.
We have been working with kids/teens and adults for a long time now and one of the things that is often prevalent when people come to us is the battle youths face with depression and suicide. This can be from bullying in school or online, issues in the home, at work or feeling like they don't fit in, isolated, alone. We want to show everyone that they are not alone and that we stand (or run) with them.
I have decided to run from Perth to Margaret River to raise much needed awareness so that we can hopefully gain momentum to work as a community to give support to those who need it.
I chose Margaret River as the final destination because the issue itself is not limited to one area, one group, one stereotype. It is diverse and it is not restricted to a postcode. So starting in the metro area all the way down through some of rural WA and the South West.
The plan will be to make stops in suburbs and towns along the way to talk with schools, groups and communities and share stories. Remember those who are no longer with us. We want to highlight some of the major issues that cause depression and suicide among youths and try to be part of a solution.
We have a GoFund me page https://www.gofundme.com/colinluthwood
to raise the funds needed for the run and are looking for sponsorship's from local businesses who would like to get behind the cause.
We will be posting videos updating you on my training and the progress of the run so subscribe to keep in the loop!

This year at JMA we are hoping to encourage the wonderful JMA community charitable spirit! With that in mind we've decided to partner with the WA Police charity, Constable Care and their Comfort Pack Program.
'The program aims to supply front line emergency service workers with care packs to give to children who are being temporarily relocated from their homes due to accident, emergency or as a result of crime. The backpacks are age and gender appropriate and contain necessities such as pyjamas, underwear, toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair brush, story book, teddy bear, etc.'
Instead of students completing their 5 Leadership Tasks on their grading form we will be asking that everyone assembles a Comfort Pack for children in need. - You can opt out of this and do the normal 5 tasks - The age range is 0-16 so ideally it would be great if students assemble a pack for another child their age but you can choose. You do not need to fill the back pack with all the items, just what you can afford to purchase or even better donate! The idea is to help with Comfort Pack program but also to encourage our students to think about others and how great they will feel knowing they have helped someone else in need.
We are encouraging everyone to participate from all programs including Little Tigers and the adult classes - TKD and Box and Burn - you can also spread the word and ask family and friends if they want to be involved too!
We will be collecting the donations at the club during March leading up to the April grading. Thank you all in advance for your support. We're really excited for this project! You can read more about the program below!
