'The program aims to supply front line emergency service workers with care packs to give to children who are being temporarily relocated from their homes due to accident, emergency or as a result of crime. The backpacks are age and gender appropriate and contain necessities such as pyjamas, underwear, toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair brush, story book, teddy bear, etc.'
Instead of students completing their 5 Leadership Tasks on their grading form we will be asking that everyone assembles a Comfort Pack for children in need. - You can opt out of this and do the normal 5 tasks - The age range is 0-16 so ideally it would be great if students assemble a pack for another child their age but you can choose. You do not need to fill the back pack with all the items, just what you can afford to purchase or even better donate! The idea is to help with Comfort Pack program but also to encourage our students to think about others and how great they will feel knowing they have helped someone else in need.
We are encouraging everyone to participate from all programs including Little Tigers and the adult classes - TKD and Box and Burn - you can also spread the word and ask family and friends if they want to be involved too!
We will be collecting the donations at the club during March leading up to the April grading. Thank you all in advance for your support. We're really excited for this project! You can read more about the program below!
